MySem

1) BACKGROUND

MySem was formed in 1999 under MIMOS Berhad, Malaysia's premier research and development institution. After three years, MySem has evolved from an R&D organization to a business entity. The charter of MySem is to establish an entirely novel business in the existing semiconductor industry with the view of contributing towards Malaysia's Vision 2020. MySem provides a wide range of services as follows:-

2) SEMICONDUCTOR FOUNDRY

MySem Fab1 is the pioneer semiconductor foundry in Malaysia. MySem's first R&D facility, Fab 1, was operationalised in 1997 with a capacity of 600 six-inch (150mm) wafers per month.

Upon successful implementation of Fab 1, MySem invested in its second facility, Fab 2, which operates at a capacity of 3000 eight-inch wafers per month.

  • At MySem, we use comprehensive Enterprise Resource Planning and Manufacturing Execution System that enables us to manage our complete supply chain management from receiving customers' orders to shop floor control and to on time delivery. This provides a centralized overview of the entire supply chain and a key performance indicator, identifies weak links and potential improvement. With this system, customers can be assured of speed and responsiveness that the company needs to thrive in today's economy.
